Ok girls, if you are like me, your taste in things changes as quickly as the wind, and with things I buy to decorate my house, well that is no different! With the way the economy is today, I am always looking for inexpensive ways to change up something that I already have, but I still want to have that designer look! Well... I came across this local company here in Baton Rouge called FrockZ! They have come up with such an awesome concept. As you know, lamps are a focal part of any room and really can make it or break it... or at least I think so! It isn't really cheap these days to purchase a new lamp especially if you want it to have that designer look. Well FrockZ had an awesome line of slipcovers for your lampshade! They have tons of beautiful designer fabrics that will allow you to take any old lamp you may already have, one that you find at a thrift store, or that beautiful one that you have now but are just wanting a fresh look. They are one size fits all and slips right onto your lamp shade! I can't wait to order one. I am excited to have found this company and wanted to share it with you. Check their designs at out www.frockz.com.

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!
Or in other words.... Let the good Times Roll! It is Mardi Gras weekend here in Louisiana. Being that we only live about an hour from New Orleans there are parades all over the place! Since we've been so busy with other things including getting ready for our trip to Disney, we didn't make it to any parades this year. Needless to say, we have sooooo much stuff left over from last year! Zachary racks up when we hit the Mardi Gras Parades. Last year they threw candy, beads, cups, T~shirts, stuffed animals, you name it... we got it! Krispy Cream Donuts even threw boxes of donuts, Ha! As in true Southern fashion, down south there is always something to celebrate and Mardi Gras Parades are no different. They do everything big in Louisiana when it comes to a party. The local parades are very family oriented and fun. Don't think I would be taking Zachary down to New Orleans.... but locally we have a blast! Here are a few pics from Mardi Gras last year!
Happy Mardi Gras~!

Best Friends.....
Had a little "girlfriend therapy" today with my BFF/Cousin Joy! I met her for lunch at one of my favorite places to eat LaShish. It was great catching up over a Chicken Schwarma Salad! One of my favorite things to do is have lunch with my friends. It is a great way to unwind and catch up with what is going on with everyone. Not to mention, just having a quiet and fun dinner without the kids every now and then! I love to laugh over some of our topics... there is never a time we have nothing to discuss! I can't imagine going through life without my girlfriends.... could you?! Here is a pic of Joy.... she wanted us to take one together but the waitress was a little slow coming back to our table and I needed to leave to pic Zach up from school.
Zach had his Best Friend Keagan come home with him after school today to play for the afternoon. They are tooo CUTE and two peas in a pod can I tell you! Listening to 2 four year old little boys carry on a conversation is true entertainment! I just hope I can keep up with them today.... they have wayyyyy more energy than I do that is for sure!!
What a fun day!

M I C K E Y .... M O U S E!
Ok, so nobody told me that planning a trip to Disney was like planning for your kids future! Ha! I am so excited, we will be leaving in 10 days!!! I was truly beginning to wonder if I would get it all together. Choosing a resort, scheduling dining, figuring out the transportation system... whew! I can say that I have learned a ton, but we'll see how it goes when we actually get there! Zach is so excited. He keeps measuring himself each day to see how tall he is because he wants so bad to ride the old mountain railroad ride. The last trip to the pediatrician in January he was 38" and he has to be 40 for that particular ride. We keep telling him he has to eat all his vegetables and drink all of his milk to grow! ha! He is too cute... he is definitely trying that is for sure! Here is a pic of him checking out how tall he is!

Valentine's Day ..... one of my favorite Holidays!
Happy Valentine's Day!! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays and has such a special meaning behind it for me.... That is the day that we brought Zachary home from the hospital! We adopted him at birth, but he was 3 1/2 months premature and had to remain in the hospital for a couple of months before we could bring him home. It is hard to believe that was 4 years ago! Time surely flies when you have children! He is such a blessing and I think that adoption is one of God's greatest gifts he could give. I feel that he is my Valentine's Gift each and every Valentine's Day! What could be better than a precious child. We spent Valentine's day at a biddy basketball tournament. My husband is coaching the 12 year old All Star team. It is a good thing I love sports because I believe Zach is going to follow right in his daddy's footsteps!! Here is a pic of him in his "basketball uniform" as he calls it!! Ha!
Hope y'all all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
