Paul and I have just started reading the book Love Dare. It is a 40 day challenge for you and your spouse to practice unconditional love. I have to say it can be very challenging to complete some of the challenges of the day, but a lot of fun too! The very first day the challenge is not to say anything negative about your spouse. Well... that day let's just say I practically had to tie my tongue down at times, but I did it! We are really having a lot of fun with it. The book is based on the movie Fireproof. We didn't get a chance to see it before it left the theater but our churh is going to be showing it around Valentine's Day. I can't wait to see it! With Valentine's Day right around the corner this would be a fun thing to do with your spouse. I just hope I am able to complete each dare with GRACE!!!

A Mouse in the House....
It was my turn to make snacks for Zach's mothers day out class at school the other day and I decided to try these adorable chocolate covered mice. They were a huge hit with the kids and so much fun to make! I love making kids treats...there are so many cute ideas and the kids get the biggest kick out of them. I am starting to look for ideas for Valentine's treats. If y'all have any ideas let me know!

Random Decorating
I don't know about you, but for me I have the hardest time decorating my mantel! After I took down all of the Christmas decorations from it, I decided I wanted a change from what I had up there before. I've been piddling with it and this is what I came up with. I think I need a little bit of color... What do you think? Any suggestions?!
I LOVE Fleur de Lis and a good friend of mine gave me this one for my birthday. I decided to put it on my end table in my living room. I don't think I could ever have too many!

New Project Ideas
I found this wonderful Chic Message Board idea from Country Living Magazine online. I just love it! The back of the message board is made with particle board and sprayed with zinc coated steel then covered with a fabric. Then you can make magnets to hold your messages. They have such beautiful fabric in the stores these days. I can't wait to try one out!

We got SNEAUX in Louisiana!
Hard as it is to believe we woke up to a beautiful white winter wonderland right before Christmas! Zachary was so excited he had a blast playing in the snow. We all did! I finally got all of my photos developed and am planning on getting them scrap booked. I'm a little behind and it can be so hard to catch up once you do get behind! That is one thing at the top of my new year to~do list!

My first Blog post and I'm so excited!
This is my very first blog post! My Mom has gotten me hooked on Blogs. It is so much fun to read about other people and see their wonderful ideas and creativity! This will be a blog in progress... I'm excited to see where it goes! My husband Paul coaches a biddy basketball team and my little boy Zachary and I went to watch the game. They won! Being from the South, sports is an important part of life. We just signed Zachary up for 4 year old tee-ball and he is so excited! The games start in April. I can't wait to see him play! He was born 3 1/2 months premature but his motor skills are phenomenal. I think he will be a great ball player. It is hard to believe that he is 4. We adopted him at birth. After going through infertility....and the adoption process... God blessed us with a beautiful and loving baby boy. He has been such a joy in our lives! Being a mom is truly a blessing!
